HOW TO START SELLING

  • Click on “Click here to start selling” – This will take you to a two-step registration page that needs to be completed. Please follow directions carefully.
  • Enter Credit Card information- once completed you will go to the Global Template page.
  • Enter in Global Template information – once update is completed you are notified and then can return to selling home page.
  • If you are a registered Seller, then you can log in with Username or Seller number and Password to access Selling Tools.

LIST YOUR ITEMS

  • Click on List You Items and will start the process to list your item and then prompt you to choose the appropriate categories for Universal Live.
  • Post Auction Page - This section needs to be completed in order to have your item posted into the live auction catalog.
  • Item Selling Conformation Page - This section notifies the seller that their item has been added to Universal's database and offers the seller to list another item in the same category, different category or to view the item that they just posted.

FEES

Currently the fees are as follows:

If the item sells:

NO LISTING FEE

NO PROTECTED BID FEE (if used in listing)

·  SALES FEE = 10% of sales price

There is also a 12.5% Buyers premium you will collect from the buyer and pass on to Universal Live.

If the item doesn't sell:

NO LISTING FEE

NO  PROTECTED BID FEE

If you move an item/lot from one auction date to another after listing it or, remove or delete the auction:

·  REVISION & DELETION FEE $1.00 PER ITEM/LOT

VIEW ITEMS

  •   All - Allows Seller to view all items in any phase; Pending, Auction, Live, Complete and Deleted.
  •   Pending - Items that have been posted to an Auction Catalog.
  •   Auction - Items that are currently up for auction.
  •   Live - Items that are currently on Universal Live up for auction.
  •   Completed - Items that are no longer on Universal Live.
  •   Deleted - Items that have been deleted from any phase.
  •   Revise - Allows Seller to edit item prior to auction.
  •   Delete - Allows Seller to remove item from the catalog prior to Live Auction.

VIEW/EDIT ACCOUNT INFO

Allows Seller to edit Account information that is editable. For Security purposes, Universal Live staff must change some information and Seller must contact us to edit information. Once information is updated, click on update button at the bottom of the page.

VIEW/EDIT GLOBAL TEMPLATE

Allows Seller to customize information for their Live auction listings. When information is updated, click on the submit button at the bottom of the page.

BULK LOAD YOUR ITEMS

Allows the Seller to download a CSV file, learn how to fill in a CSV file and choose Universal Live categories. Upload your items, save CSV file and load your items into Universal's database. Upload images, save zip file and view your items.

VIEW PURCHASE DETAIL

This section Allows the Seller to view and update transactions. The Seller can view the following:

  • All Items - A list of all sales including date of purchase, auction reference number, title of the item, buyers e-mail address, and buyers' total amount. This section also identifies if the buyers has paid, item shipped, seller has a credit pending, approved or declined. The Seller can update information by placing a "v " next to a transaction and clicking on the "view select sales" button at the bottom of the page.
  • Update Sales - This section will provide the following information about the specific sale chosen:
    • Item number, purchase date, auction reference number, title, sales amount, buyer's premium, buyers total
    • The Seller can update the transaction if the buyer has paid, item was shipped, with a tracking number of the shipment; seller needs to request a credit and the reason for the request.
  • Seller Credit - This section of the purchase detail informs the seller of a pending credit request (blue v mark), approved credit request (green v mark) or a declined credit request (red X mark).
  • Pending Buyer Payments - This will filter those transactions that are pending payments or that have not been marked paid.
  • Pending Shipments - This will filter those transactions that have been paid but not shipped or marked as shipped.
  • Completed Shipments - This will filter those transactions that have been shipped, recorded as shipped and that have no credit issues.
  • Pending Credit Requests - This will filter those transactions that credit requests were made but are pending (blue v mark). Credit request reasons are posted.
  • Completed Credit Requests - This will filter those transactions that credit requests were approved (green v mark) or denied (red X mark). Credit request reasons are posted.
  • Declined Credit Requests - This will filter those transactions that credit requests were denied (red X mark). Credit request reasons are posted.

ACCOUNT STATEMENT

This allows the Seller to view their account Statement with Universal Live. The Seller can filter for All Transactions, Last Period's Transactions or Pending Transactions. The Account statement has the following information:

  • User Name
  • E-mail address
  • Company name
  • User Id Number
  • Last Payment Date
  • Last Payment Amount
  • Current Balance
  • Total Items in View
  • Date Transaction Posted
  • Item Number
  • Auction Reference Number
  • Type of Transaction
  • Description of Transaction
  • Credit Amount of Each Transaction
  • Debit Amount of Each Transaction
  • Total Number of Listings
  • Total Balance
  • Total Amount of Credits
  • Total Amount of Debits

LINK TO SELLERS ITEMS LISTED IN LIVE CATALOG

This link is for the Seller to promote their items that are currently available for bidding on Universal Live (Live Bidding) or other auction platforms (Absentee Bidding). When the link is accessed it will display all items with the following information:

  • Sellers Information - Clicking on the thumbnail will allow the buyer to view Live Events, Upcoming Events and Closed Events for the Seller. Also displays the total number of items in the catalog.
  • Item Thumbnail Picture - Clicking on thumbnail will show all of the details of the item.
  • Lot # - identifies the lot number within a particular auction catalog.
  • Item Title - Active link to item detail.
  • Opening Bid Price - The price that the bidding will start for that item.
  • Low/High Estimate - Low and High value estimate for the item.
  • Bid Type - Live or Absentee (Active Link)
